Any questions regarding Dan Brown's presentation of Jesus and the Catholic Church? Embarrassed I'd be happy to clarify. laugh

Here's my personal evaluation of the book:

Yup, I've read it and enjoyed it!...as a novel. laugh My copy (actually hingi ko lang kay Fr. Ben Hur Borja) sits on my book shelf.
It's entertaining detective reading.

Unfortunately, Dan Brown does not make distinction between "historical truth" and "myths". He presents everything as "factual truth"...whereas many "facts" are downright lies. Lips Sealed The presentation of the Catholic Church, the Vatican and especially the Opus Dei boarder on the vile. Why such hatred, one wonders? Had he spoken about the Jews or the Muslims, his work would have been lambasted as "anti-Semitic"  >:(or waged war upon with a jihad. Angry Yet, barely a whimper comes out from Christians. This, despite his "blasphemous" portrayal of Jesus.

Wonderful detective story. Thrashy content. Kiss

gud PM Father, thanks for your 5 cents.   :-XThere's still on-going discussion in the other page about Da Vinci Code Novel... base in that forum it seems there's a massive "?" conflict in the story versus facts... Anyway, you're right ->nice to read novel (...and lets leave it like that)..unfortunately, they're making a movie base in this Dan Brown's novel. Undecided
