Don Bosco Technical College High School Alumni Batch'86 invites everyone to learn how to take better pictures through...

SHOOT PICTURES LIKE A PRO
A Photography Workshop
College AVR, Don Bosco Technical College
Gen. Kalentong Street
Mandaluyong City
22 November 2008, 8am to 5pm

Workshop Instructors: Raneil Antonio Ibay and Jon Aguirre

INSTRUCTOR PROFILES
Raneil Antonio Ibay
A member of the Framed Shots Camera Club, this Don Bosco alumnus has found fulfillment in joining photo contests and winning from them. His most illustrious triumph yet was placing 3rd during the hike for FPPF's Photoworld Cup 2006 Photographer of the Year. That same year he also ranked 2nd at Framed Shots' version of the plum. As a Fine Arts major from UST, Raneil has dabbled into other art forms such as painting and illustrating, but photography turned out to be his burning passion. Raneil is an active player in the advertising industry, working as art director while doing free-lance photography for various subjects such as interiors, food, fashion, portraits - mostly of celebrities, products and events. His passion for photography has propelled Raneil into the limelight as he was featured in Manila Bulletin's Picture Perfect article which came out in September 2008 from which most of this brief was lifted off.

A sample of Raneil's work can be seen through this website: http://raneil. multiply. com.

Jon Aguirre
From landscapes to details, outdoor and travel, portraiture, underwater and art, Jon shoots them all. Doing photography mainly as a hobby, Jon got involved in photography with the purchase of his first SLR back in 2002. Primarily considering himself an underwater photographer Jon was fortunate enough to learn from world-renowned underwater photography pro, Canadian Mike Veitch. Being one of only a handful of Filipinos who have graduated from the Dive Photofest Underwater Photography Workshops. Two years later Jon trained on topside photography under renowned photographer Jo Avila. He further trained with the upcoming batch of visual artists Borj Meneses, Deo Patalinghog & Parc Cruz for both photography and digital post processing. While considering photography mainly a hobby to de-stress from his market research business, it has become quite serious, demands a high level of commitment that Jon has immersed himself in both underwater and topside photography. In September 2008 this DBTC Batch 86 alumnus got featured as Manila Bulletin¢s Photographer of the Week, showcasing some of his works.

Jon's work can be seen though this website: http://www.flickr. com/photos/ jaguirre.
